The cheap Bluetooth LED strips whose app won't pair, won't reconnect, or turns light pink into purple. Strip Remote connects in one tap and gets the colours right.

Why it connects
Strips sold as ELK-BLEDOM don't all run the same firmware, and the variants expect different commands. An app that only knows one of them simply does nothing on the others, which is why so many people get "won't connect".
Strip Remote finds nearby strips by the name they broadcast. Tap Connect and it flashes your strip blue: "Did it blink?" If not, it tries the next command set. It remembers the answer, so you only do this once.

A big colour wheel, brightness, warm-to-cool white and the strip's built-in effects. Drag as fast as you like: the app sends only the newest colour, so the strip never falls seconds behind your finger.

Cheap LEDs run one colour hot, so "light pink" comes out purple and white looks blue. Hold your phone next to the strip, lower the channel that's too strong, and every colour after that comes out right.

Pulse with the music, split it into bass, mids and highs, or strobe (opt-in, with a photosensitivity warning). The microphone is analysed on your iPhone. Nothing is recorded or stored.

Save Movie night or Bedtime across every strip in the room, switch a whole group at once, and set on/off times that run on the strip itself, so they still fire while your phone is asleep.

Supported strips
If your strip shows up under one of these names (or starts with one), Strip Remote knows how to drive it.
These are the strips usually controlled by apps such as Lotus Lantern, duoCo Strip or LED LAMP. Strip Remote is an independent replacement and isn't affiliated with any of them. Name not listed? Tell us and we'll look at adding it.
Honest pricing
The free version is the full controller for one strip, with no time limit and no ads. Pro is for houses with more than one strip and the extras.
No weekly billing, no ads and no account. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows your local price.
Questions
Strips sold under the same Bluetooth name run different firmware. Strip Remote carries the command sets for each variant and checks which one your strip answers to, instead of assuming. If the strip is plugged in and nothing else is connected to it, that's usually all it takes.
No, but close it. These strips accept one Bluetooth connection at a time, so if the old app is still connected in the background, nothing else can connect. Force-quit it from the app switcher.
Yes. Both work side by side. If you switch the strip off with the remote, the app turns it back on when you pick a colour.
No. These strips only speak Bluetooth to a phone nearby; they can't join HomeKit, Matter or Alexa. Strip Remote gives you widgets, Siri and Shortcuts instead.
Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no analytics, no ads. Bluetooth and the microphone are used on the device only. Privacy policy.
Yes. Tap "Find strips", then "Try the demo strip": a strip on your screen that reacts to every command, exactly as a real one would.
