Terms of use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Strip Remote app for iPhone and iPad ("the App") published by Bulpara ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them, together with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the App, or use it to break any law.
2. Not affiliated with strip makers
We can't guarantee that every strip sold under a supported name works, because manufacturers change firmware without notice. That's what the free tier is for: check your strip works before you pay.
3. Subscriptions
Strip Remote is free for one strip. The optional Strip Remote Pro subscription adds unlimited strips and groups, music sync, scenes, schedules, colour calibration, widgets and Siri:
- Monthly: $2.99 per month
- Annual: $19.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers
Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase (or when the free trial ends). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple.
4. Safe use
- Music sync's Strobe mode flashes rapidly. Don't use it around anyone who may have photosensitive epilepsy.
- Follow the strip manufacturer's instructions for installation, power supplies and heat. The App controls colour and brightness only; it doesn't change how the hardware is rated.
5. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the App will work with every strip or be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or of any LED hardware. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be excluded.
7. Changes
We may update the App, its features, free-tier limits, prices for new subscribers, and these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. Price changes for existing subscribers follow Apple's rules, including asking for your consent where required.
8. Open-source notice
The App's device command table is adapted from elkbledom by dave-code-ruiz, used under the MIT licence. The full notice is in the App under Settings → Licences.
