Help & support
Most problems are one of the four below. Still stuck? Email support@bulpara.com with your strip's Bluetooth name and your iPhone model.
My strip won't connect
- Close the strip's old app. These strips accept one Bluetooth connection at a time. If Lotus Lantern, duoCo or any other LED app is still running, force-quit it from the app switcher. This is the most common cause.
- Check the strip has power. The controller box usually has a small light. If it's dark, check the USB or mains adapter.
- Don't pair it in iPhone Settings. These strips connect through the app, not through Settings → Bluetooth. If you see it under "My Devices" there, tap the i and choose Forget This Device.
- Move closer. Bluetooth range through walls is a few metres.
- Unplug the strip for ten seconds, plug it back in, and tap Connect again.
It connected, but the strip doesn't react
Strips with the same name can run different firmware. When you first connect, the app flashes the strip blue and asks whether it blinked. If you answered by mistake, open the strip, tap ⋯ → Try alternate mode, and the app runs the check again.
If none of the modes work, your strip may be a variant we haven't seen yet. Tap Email its name to us on that screen, or write to support@bulpara.com.
Where do I find my strip's name?
- Plug the strip in.
- On your iPhone, open Settings → Bluetooth.
- Under Other Devices, look for a name like
ELK-BLEDOM,MELK-OA21,LEDBLE-…orELK-BLEDOB. Don't tap it; just note the name.
The box or listing may call it something else entirely; the Bluetooth name is what matters. See the full list of supported names.
My strip's name isn't listed
Strip Remote only lists strips it knows how to drive. Strips using other chips (Govee, Philips Hue, Triones, Magic Home and so on) speak different protocols and aren't supported. If your name looks like one of ours but isn't found, email us the exact name and we'll look at adding it.
The colours look wrong
Cheap LEDs rarely mix red, green and blue evenly. Open the strip, tap ⋯ → Calibrate colours (Pro), pick a reference such as White or Light pink, and lower whichever colour looks too strong until the strip matches your screen. The trims apply to every colour from then on.
Some strips have their colour channels wired in a different order (red and green swapped, for example). Tell us the strip's name and we'll correct the table.
Music sync doesn't react
- Allow microphone access in Settings → Strip Remote.
- Music sync listens only while its screen is open and stops when you leave the app.
- Raise Sensitivity in a quiet room, lower it at a party.
Schedules
Where the strip supports it, on/off times are stored on the strip itself, so they fire even with your phone asleep or out of the house. The app sets the strip's clock when you save a schedule. After a power cut the strip forgets the time, so open the strip's Schedule tab and save again.
Subscriptions
- Restore: Settings tab → Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
- Cancel or change plan: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Strip Remote. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal; you keep Pro until the period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
